Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
Get stuff done quickly with pre-integrated technology to make your job easier

Ah, Dave, like you I read the rare post, and wish that there was more
activity within ANNEvolve. At least people still read the occasional
post.

Rex,
Great paper .... I was getting worried about Annevolve ----> haven't
seen any post in a while.
Most of the information is way over my head but I was able to glean
some insight into the methodologies that you are using. My initial
instinct makes me in inclined to beleive that the Internet itself
could be construed as one of the Chaotic systems that could see direct
influence from this. ie. search engines, spam filters, and even
individual securtiy access & control applications.
Where do you see the most likely implementations of this in the near
future?
Do you have specific target integrations in mind?
Do you see applications in data delivery and storage in the bigger
picture of Chaotic systems that will benefit from evolution+NN? How?
For me I can't see how the numbers work per say but can envision how
the assumption of data being universal not unique can lead to advanced
bandwidth optimization, storage optimization, and technology
convergence and encapsulation throught the use of trained/evolved
neural networks.

I'm proud of http://ANNEvolve.sourceforge.net. If you want to write software, or articles, or do testing or research for ANNEvolve, let me know.

The internet is not a chaotic system, in the sense used in engineering.
Like many terms, there is a general meaning in the English language, and
a specialize meaning given to it by scientists or engineers. The first
few paragraphs of the web page in Rex's post
(http://chaos.utexas.edu/research/dsane/slog.html) explain what is meant
by a chaotic system. For one thing, it does not include randomness. A
chaotic system, as studied by Chaos Theory, is a deterministic system
that is extremely sensitive to the initial conditions.
Where do you see the most likely implementations of this in the near
future?
Do you have specific target integrations in mind?
Do you see applications in data delivery and storage in the bigger
picture of Chaotic systems that will benefit from evolution+NN? How?
I see a future for neuroevolution as a way of creating adaptive control
system. This present paper is an example of this, as is my EvSail project.

Dave,

It's not my work. I was looking for material on chaos and saw it. Since
Mitchell is interested in adaptive control problems (e.g. evsail) I
thought he might be interested.
